A Spicy New Deal
By archaicpress@gmail.com / on June 30th, 2016 / in FeaturedCelebrating a decade of small-batch distillation, Portland-based vodka & liqueur brand New Deal Distillery has made a mark with its spicy take on cocktail essentials. Perfecting a small collection of balanced spirits, the bases for many mixed drinks, New Deal Distillery has deconstructed some of the most famous cocktails to inspire their newest venture into spiced spirits. From subtle sweetness to scorching hot, their newest vodka and liqueur are bringing the heat one batch at a time.
For a warm spice with a touch of sweetness, their newest ginger liqueur is simply a must. Intensely robust for a liqueur of its kind, it may be a bit overpowering for a shot or to sip on its own, but the intensity in flavor makes it a perfect mixer. Whether it’s a Moscow Mule or a Dark & Stormy, it’ll take the place of a ginger ale with an added kick.
If you’re looking for a more dangerously delicious concoction, New Deal’s Hot Monkey pepper-flavored vodka delivers some serious complexity under overwhelming heat. A smoky flavor masks a secret blend of five Southwestern chili peppers, and a craft-distilled vodka base delivers a sweltering smooth finish. Perfect with our favorite happy hour essentials, this vodka adds a much needed kick to citrus and tequila, for a spicy margarita worth every fiery sip.
So whether you’re looking for a warm summer drink or you’re an adventurous spice seeker, New Deal Distillery will have a fiery cocktail perfect for you.
